Winning Best in Show under Judge Francine Schwartz

Best In Show  Ch Moonlight's Duke of Passion is pictured above at three  years old.  Before turning one year of age he won Best in Sweepstakes and Winners Dog at the Rocky Mountain Akita Club Specialty and finished quickly from the bred-by class.  He is a strong willed Akita with great Akita type.  Duke has sired five champions to date.  His look-alike daughter "Rio" won Winners Bitch and Best of Winners at the 1999 Akita Club of America National.  Click here to see some Akitas sired by Duke.

Duke's pedigree speaks for itself, being well linebred gives him the capability to reproduce himself.  Duke is strong at producing a well defined head,  large bone, and good movement.  Most of his puppies have fun and silly personalities and love to give kisses.  He has produced multiple breed winners and group placers.

"Kato," is show at 3 years old winning Best of Breed over champions the day after finishing his championship.  He finished with very limited showing and his championship points all earned from the bred-by class.  Kato lives near Colorado Springs with his co-owners the Lanuachas.

Kato has a very easy going temperament, lovely type, and is very active.  He won Winners Dog at the Arizona Regional Specialty at only 9 months old.  Kato is a proven sire.  His first litter of puppies will be hitting the ring in 2000.

"Duke Jr." is pictured at 18 months old.  Duke Jr. finished easily with three majors in six weekends of showing.  Duke Jr. is a very happy Akita with loads of attitude and just wants attention. 

Duke Jr. is a proven sire and some of his get should be hitting the rings on the east coast soon.  He is loved by us all, but he llives with Jeff Christian in West Virginia and is co-owned with Rennie Reynolds and myself.  He will be traveling to vacation in New Mexico in the late summer.

"Power" and "ACA" are littermates.  At the 1999 national Power won the bred-by class and ACA won 3rd in the 9-12 month class.  Power resides at Moonlight and will start to compete for his championship in the near future.  ACA resides with Kim and Mark Nisbet at Eudora Akitas in South Carolina, he is co-owned by the three of us.  ACA won Winners Dog and Best in Sweeps at the Akita Club of Tampa Bay Specialty, he has both majors and needs a few points to finish his championship.
