CH Moonlight's 1997 Akita National Reserve Winners Bitch "Xena" was an AWESOME akita and my biggest mistake. The mistake was selling her at 11 months of age. I was lucky enough to get her back at four years of age and place into into the most loving home with the Wirsbinski family. Sadly she only had one litter. |

Ch Moonlight's "ACA" won 3rd place in the 9-12 puppy class at the 1999 Akita National. Kim feel in love with him at the national so I decided to let him live with Kim and Mark in South Carolina. He won Winners Dog at the 2000 Florida Specialty and went on to win his majors easily and was completely owner handled to his championship. "ACA" will not be available at stud, because he has moderate hip dysplasia in his left hip only, which is very sad because he is one AWESOME Akita and would have made a wonderful compliment to any breeding program.

Ch Moonlight's At Ame's first show she won a 5 point major from the Bred-By class at the Region IV Specialty. She finished easily from Bred-By. Ame was the most fantastic Akita, a breeder's dream. Unfortunately, sometimes a breeder's dream turns into a nightmare. I had to say goodbye to my dear girl in June 1998 due to a disease called VKH. Love your companions while they are here, sometimes their time with us is too short.
